The SCPH-9002 is actually just one SCPH-7002 MD5 NOT CONFIRMED.

Tested with SCPH-102 with 4.4 and 4.5 BIOS flashed files using a SCPH-7502 console. PS2 Install FMCB on SCPH-30004R with modchip. The SCPH-7003 is actually just a V3.0A SCPH-5501 MD5 NOT CONFIRMED. I also found a way to (hopely) always recover corrupted/modified memory card using the old Wipeout (1995) game (my problem appeared with 4.5 bios exploit - the memory flashed with SCPH-102 BIOS 4.4 exploit or SCPH-5502 BIOS 3.0 were still correctly recognized by Memory Card Annihilator v2.0 while the 4.5 was not - also OddWorld: Abe's Oddysee was NOT able to recognize the memory card flashed with 4.5 exploit, i always got a system crash):Ġ - insert a WORKING memory card in slot 1 (YES, you need at least 1 good memory card - it will probably work on slot 2 too)ĥ - answer "YES" to the format 1st requestĦ - SWITCH the good memory card with the modified (corrupted) oneħ - answer YES to the 2nd format request Ĩ - done ! your memory card is good again :) Using FreePSXBoot exploit for BIOS v4.4 is working fine ! Thank you very much ! Check out with the tech support of, they helped me the last time I was stuck. I managed to get the correct bios version using the suggested PSX BIOS Dumper 2.6 tool. Im going to install a mm3 chip in my psone scph-101 but I was wondering if anyone knew any good faqs or really good diagram for it Click to expand. For my most experienced examples, Silent Hill gets constant screen-tearing. In particular notice how the 1001s have 5 screws on the bottom, while all other models after have 6 screws. Here are some more photos of a SCPH-5501 and SCPH-1001 for comparison.

Oh and as for the diagram going around showing another 7 wire installation for this board I also tried it and it only functioned as a 4 wire install with no stealth though you can see my pin 4 wire is in a different place then that one if you have seen it and the pin 7 wire is located on another point which happens to lead to the same spot as that other diagram but is closer to the side of the board I folded the chip over on to so my wire can be just that much shorter.Well the problem was exactly that, I used wrong bios version (my SCPH-102 is v4.4 and not v4.5 i previously flashed). A while ago I got a pre MM3 chip-modded SCPH-5501 PS1 from a seller on eBay to play burnt hacks and Japanese games, and while it loads games fine (unlike the previous 5501 they sent me), I've come to notice its performance is weaker. Thats definitely a SCPH-1001 with the wrong label on the bottom.

Again the attached diagram I made myself just so I could post it here to be helpful to anyone looking to install a MM3 mod chip and get Stealth on their SCPH-100x PS1 as I saw another post where someone told them it wasn't possible. You can get a good idea of what board you have by looking at the model number underneath your system (something like SCPH-7501).

I originally did this using a 12F629 chip but replaced it with a 12C508A chip so I could use the other one for something else and I had a ton of 12C508As that I finally learned how to flash correctly (yes I flash my own chips). MM3 modchip installation diagrams Below is a list of all PlayStation 1 motherboard versions, along with the console model numbers associated with them. My install has the chip in a 8-pin DIP socket on the other side of the board for each access so I can swap out chips for testing or just replacing if something goes wrong with the chip itself. If anyone has any questions about this feel free to ask though my knowledge is limited to mostly just following diagrams and what little I read in forums like this one. For anyone who finds this useful you are very welcome. In my case I have a SCPH-101 PSone with the PM-41 NTSC board. You can get an MM3 chip for fairly cheap at around 4-10, I got mine from a US seller on eBay preprogrammed and prewired for 8 shipped. An MM3 modchip will allow you to play your game backups, as well as games from other regions. I am posting this to debunk the claim that you cannot install a MM3 with Stealth on a SCPH-1001 PU-8 motherboard as anyone can follow this diagram and see that stealth should work as it does for me. This is a guide for PSone MM3 modchip installation. I am going to come out and say that I did not come up with this but I can't find the original post I found the diagram I used so I made a new one using a picture I took of my own MM3 stealth installation.
